LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent episode of the 'Behind the Table' podcast, 'The View' producer Brian Teta opened up about his frustration when co-hosts Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin attended 'The Wendy Williams Show'.

The discussion arose as Haines expressed her sadness over Wendy Williams' recent diagnosis with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Sara Haines' attempt to attend Wendy Williams' show unveiled

Haines revealed that during her early tenure on 'The View', she and Hostin tried to secure tickets for Williams' show through their hair and makeup team. Teta, initially taken aback by their desire to attend another talk show, reluctantly arranged the tickets, placing them in the front row.

"I wanted to go see Wendy, Sunny [Hostin] and I," Haines told Teta, "We tried to get tickets through all of our hair and makeup people. Brian was like, 'You could ask for tickets, like, we could probably arrange with the show.' We got tickets, and they were going to put us in the front row."

Reflecting on the incident, Haines praised Williams' interview style and expressed her desire to witness it firsthand. Teta, however, confirmed his disappointment, recalling,"We were taking pictures from the front row, and you're like, 'You literally are on camera in the front row of another show,'" Haines recalled, and Teta confirmed his disappointment.

"Yeah, I was not happy about it at the time, because I just thought, it was early in the time you worked here, and you and Sunny just going to hang out, just to be in the audience of another talk show," he said. "Guys, this is not what happens, you don't look in our audience and see Oprah hanging out in the second row."

"We could not understand why," Haines recalled. "We were so mad at you, we were like, 'Why is he not celebrating this? We're so excited.'"

The revelation comes in the aftermath of 'The View's episode featuring Wendy Williams' niece, Alex Finnie, discussing Williams' life as depicted in the new Lifetime documentary 'Where Is Wendy Williams?', which explores the circumstances surrounding Williams' retreat from the spotlight and Sherri Shepherd's subsequent takeover of 'The Wendy Williams Show's time slot.
