ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Former president Donald Trump dismissed President Joe Biden's accusation that he was a "convicted felon" and subsequently targeted the sitting Commander-in-Chief’s son, Hunter Biden, after his conviction earlier this month in the 2018 federal gun case, according to the New York Post.

The 78-year-old MAGA strongman and the 81-year-old incumbent President of the United States engaged in a verbal spar in the key battleground state of Georgia for their first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle, moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, on Thursday, June 27.

During the heated exchange in the network’s Atlanta studios, President Joe Biden criticized his predecessor Donald Trump by stating, “The only person on this stage who is a convicted felon is the man I’m looking at tonight.”

In May, a 12-person Manhattan jury bench convicted the former president on all 34 charges of falsifying business records to cover up hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels in the lead-up to the 2016 general election.
