WASHINGTON, DC: In a surprising move, President Joe Biden's campaign team seized the opportunity to take a jab at former President Donald Trump by repurposing lyrics from Kendrick Lamar's highly popular diss track aimed at Drake, as reported by HuffPost.

The decision to twist Lamar's lyrics, originally expressing contempt toward Drake, into a scathing critique of Donald Trump's policies and behavior drew fierce backlash from users across the internet.

During a social media blitz, Biden's team overlaid Lamar's scathing lines from 'Euphoria' onto visuals and text highlighting Trump's controversial actions and statements during his White House tenure.

Lamar's lyrics, including "It's always been about love and hate, now let me say I'm the biggest hater," were juxtaposed with critiques of Trump's policies on women's rights, immigration, and his involvement with "truth social."

The campaign strategically chose a 13-second segment of Lamar's track, starting from the 3:05 mark, to underscore their message.

The lyrics used were: "It's always been about love and hate, now let me say I'm the biggest hater, I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress, I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it's gon' be direct."

Former President Donald Trump listens as his attorney Todd Blanche speaks during a press conference at 40 Wall Street after a pre-trial hearing on March 25, 2024 in New York City. Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump's criminal trial to begin on April 15, which would make it the first criminal prosecution of a former American president. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 election. However, the text accompanying the images twisted the meaning of the lyrics, turning them into a scathing critique of Donald Trump: "It's always been about love and hate, now let me say I'm the biggest hater, I hate the way that you walk over women's rights, the way that you talk about immigrants, I hate the way that you dress, I hate the way that you sneak diss on truth social."

This musical exchange between political parties isn't unprecedented. Just last month, the Democrats responded to Lara Trump's entry into the music scene with a track titled 'Party’s Fallin’ Down,' according to New York Post.

The song, released on SoundCloud and heavily promoted on various platforms, served as a direct critique of Lara's leadership at the Republican National Committee (RNC). With lyrics such as, "You’re running the RNC, but it’s a sad song," and "Fundraising’s low, can’t meet the mark," the Democrats didn't hold back in their criticism.

Internet slams Biden campaign's diss track against Donald Trump

The Internet was quick to condemn the Biden campaign for releasing a diss track against the ex-POTUS. One user on X quipped, "Signing a law citing significant national security concerns with TikTok apparently didn’t mean Biden had any concerns about continuing to use it for wildly cringe videos."

Another user sarcastically expressed, "Spewing hate. Super inspiring." A third wrote, "Biden-Harris. To the trash heap." Meanwhile, a fourth user commented, "Yup, Democrats are always about hate. Always."

A user wrote, "Whoever made this should be fired. Haha bidens new campaign strategy is to hide again lmfao." Another remarked, "Well, thanks for clarifying. Now we know who are really the haters."

A user bluntly stated, "Yours IS a lot shorter: We the people hate EVERYTHING you have done to America!!!" Someone else noted, "You guys really suck."
