COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA: Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley's campaign launched a mobile billboard ad targeting her primary rival and former President Donald Trump ahead of the South Carolina primary.

It supposedly aims to highlight the age of both Donald Trump and President Joe Biden and is part of the former South Carolina Governor's ad series "Grumpy Old Men."

This new billboard ad apparently features moments when both Trump and Biden appeared confused during their speeches and public remarks. It passed through the Myrtle Beach area on Saturday, February 10, and stopped outside one of ex-POTUS' rallies, as per The Hill.

The video specifically highlights a moment where Trump confused Haley for former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and misspoke Sioux City, Iowa, as Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Nikki Haley ramps up her campaign ahead of South Carolina primary

On Friday, Haley, the former United States ambassador to the United States, remarked that both Trump and Biden would use the Oval Office as a "taxpayer-subsidized nursing home" if they win a second term.

Additionally, taking digs at both the party stalwarts, her campaign team distributed mental competency tests while at her rally in Newberry, South Carolina, on Saturday.

Haley has ramped up attacks on Trump's leadership ability since he currently leads her by double digits in her home state ahead of the February 24 primary. According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling average, the ex-POTUS is ahead by approximately 32 points.

Despite her camp's vow to continue fighting till the very end, Haley faces a difficult challenge in securing a primary victory in her home state, where support for the former president remains steadfast.

Moreover, Trump has secured endorsements from top politicians in the Palmetto State, further cementing his influence over the voters ahead of the primary GOP contest.

Nearly a year ago, Haley proposed a mental competency test for politicians over the age of 75 and called for a new generation of leadership in the GOP.

Ahead of the New Hampshire primary in January, the 77-year-old Republican presidential frontrunner responded to her comments about his age, stating that he would score higher on a cognitive test than her.

Netizens seemed to be unimpressed with Haley's move to launch a new ad targeting Trump's age.

One sarcastically remarked, "Oh wow he must be scared."

A person claimed, "Haley has more liberal money coming in than conservatives. They’ll finance anybody that tries to hammer Trump."

"she's gonna lose her home state by double digits but ok... #NeverNikki," wrote someone else, while one more stated, "According to the latest RCP average, Haley is down 30.7 points Haley will not make up ground unless she starts talking about her agenda specifics. The lack of policy details shows a lack of horsepower. Haley = all fluff, no stuff."

Another person quipped, "The lady who just lost to 'none of the above'? Ok."
