PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: On Friday, July 26, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited former president Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Netanyahu’s meeting with the 78-year-old MAGA strongman came from separate meetings with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington, DC, the previous day.

Shortly after spending time with Trump, Netanyahu shared images and a video of the event, illustrating the positive outcome of their meeting.

The Israeli Prime Minister gifted the 2024 Republican presidential candidate a blue baseball hat with “TOTAL VICTORY” emblazoned in white, and a framed picture of a child held captive in Gaza, according to Metro.

What did two politicians say regarding their meeting Friday afternoon?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote "Shabbat Shalom" in a post on X (formerly Twitter), and included emojis of the Israeli and American flags.

The phrase “total victory” seemingly refers to Israel's conflict with Hamas in Gaza, not to the 2024 US presidential election.

Netanyahu also posted a video on X of himself and his wife Sara walking up the steps of a building at Mar-a-Lago.

In the video, the former POTUS can be heard inviting them in, saying, “Come on in.”

The Netanyahus were seen hugging Donald Trump and posing for photos with the ex-president who gave a thumbs up.

The video also showed Prime Minister Netanyahu explaining to former president Trump that the framed photo he presented to him was of a child whose grandfather requested that it be given to him.

“We'll get that taken care of,” the ex-Commander-in-Chief replied as he posed for photos with him.

According to the Trump campaign, Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his gratitude to the 45th President of the United States for his efforts during his time in the White House, including the Abraham Accords and relocating the US embassy to Jerusalem.

Trump vowed to work for peace in the Middle East and combat antisemitism on college campuses if re-elected.

Sources told CNN that Prime Minister Netanyahu requested the meeting at former president Trump's Florida residence, marking their first meeting since Trump's presidency ended over three years ago.

Despite prior tensions emerging when Netanyahu congratulated President Joe Biden on winning the 2020 election, Trump and the Israeli Prime Minister seemed to have reconciled during their meeting on Friday.

During a joint address to US Congress two days earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu commended Trump for the Abraham Accords and expressed relief that the former president "emerged safe and sound" from a ”dastardly” assassination attempt.

In the same fervent speech supporting the ongoing war on Gaza, Prime Minister Netanyahu lauded President Biden for "his vital support for Israel after the savage attack" by Hamas on Israel on October 7, last year.

Internet mocks Trump for hosting Benjamin Netanyahu

People online derided former president Donald Trump for inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Mar-a-Lago, who in turn presented him with a blue "TOTAL VICTORY" hat.

One X user remarked, "That hat, as well as MAGA hats aren’t going to age well. They will represent the over-promising and under-delivering that has become the norm for this tired old generation."

Another user said, "Hope they're talking PEACE."

Another user claimed, "Trump won't gain any supporters with this meeting, but he will lose in drove. His rating is starting to go down fast!"

One X user wrote, "Two maniacs side by side."

Another user argued, "@Megatron_ron I think Israel wants to see which candidate sucks up to them more before they decide who will become president. "

Finally, this user tweeted, "It breaks my heart to see Trump kissing this butchers a*s. I'll still vote for him, because he is all that stands between us and complete totalitarianism. But my enthusiasm is just sapped."
