LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are relishing their current phase of life, embracing the chaos that comes with raising their four young children.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, are parents to daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, as well as their 1-year-old son Olin.

During a candid conversation on Amanda Hirsch’s popular podcast 'Not Skinny But Not Fat,' Reynolds opened up about the joys and challenges of parenthood, sharing insights into how they manage their bustling household, as per US Weekly.

During the episode aired on July 30, Ryan Reynolds, best known for his role as Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared a piece of advice that has resonated with him and Blake Lively as they navigate the whirlwind of raising four kids.

"Embrace the chaos," the 47-year-old actor advised Hirsch. He acknowledged that life with a large family is far from neat and orderly, saying, "We have four kids—like, okay, nothing's going to be tidy ever again. But it will, though, when they all leave the house."

Reynolds also reflected on a sentiment often expressed by Lively, 36, who is starring in 'It Ends With Us.' She frequently reminds him of the preciousness of their current situation.

"Blake always says, 'They're all under our roof right now. The whole family's under one roof right now. We have them all.' And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource, you know?" Reynolds recalled.

Despite the joy they find in their family life, Reynolds admitted that parenting can be overwhelming at times. "It does get to you. And it's okay to be like, ‘F**k, I am dying.’ Because that's gonna happen every other day," he confessed.

The challenges are manifold, including the nightly struggle when many of their children can't sleep unless they’re in their parents' bed. "I would love to spread out and fall asleep normally again," Reynolds joked, acknowledging the sacrifices they make.

Ryan Reynolds also touched on a recent family project that brought them closer together. In the blockbuster hit 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' which is currently in theaters, the Reynolds-Lively clan made a memorable appearance.

Lively made a cameo as Lady Deadpool, while their children played various roles: Inez as Kidpool, Olin as Babypool, and James as a Screaming Mutant, according to IMDB.

Reflecting on the experience, Reynolds said, "It was kind of one of those things where you're like, 'Well, why not?' Because the family of six was all there together anyway on set, we thought, 'Yeah, let’s do it. Let’s go nuts.'"

Beyond the fun and chaos of on-set family dynamics, Reynolds had previously shared a poignant piece of parenting advice he received from 'Deadpool & Wolverine' director and co-writer Shawn Levy. This advice, he believes, is crucial for his children's upbringing.

"People tend to only talk about their wins. But I think it's really important for your kids in particular to know that you lose," Reynolds said in a past interview with PEOPLE. He emphasized the importance of showing children that failure and setbacks are natural parts of life.

"You don't get what you want all the time. Something you worked on really hard didn't work. You feel like you said something embarrassing today, you did something that didn't sit right with you. It's just so important that [your kids] see that and they don't just hear, 'Oh Dad nailed it,'" Reynolds explained.
