STILT, COLORADO: Rep Lauren Boebert (R-Colo) asked a Colorado judge on Monday, March 11, to withdraw a restraining order against her ex-husband Jayson Boebert, barely over a month after alleging that he had threatened to harm both her and himself.

According to the New York Post, Boebert informed the court in February that Jayson Boebert had “made multiple suicidal threats and threats to harm me over the past 14 months.”

The MAGA-aligned lawmaker representing the Centennial State’s 3rd congressional district told Garfield County Judge Jonathan Pototsky on Monday, “Jayson and I have come to some pretty strict agreements. Hopefully those are followed and we don’t have to pursue another one in the future.”

What happened prior to Rep. Boebert filing the restraining order against her husband?

Lauren Boebert requested the permanent restraining order against her husband, Jayson Boebert after a temporary protection order for domestic abuse was obtained on February 2, just a few weeks after Jayson Boebert was arrested in two separate incidents.

Boebert also claimed that her ex texted her that he entered her Stilt, Colorado, house without her consent on February 2 to remove and destroy her personal belongings.

Per CBS News, the initial incident involving Jayson Boebert occurred on January 6 at a restaurant in Silt, Colorado, shortly before 8 pm where he was accompanied by his ex-wife.

Jayson Boebert is facing three charges stemming from that incident, namely, disorderly conduct, third-degree trespass, and obstruction of a peace officer. The second incident involved his 18-year-old son Tyler Boebert and took place at a house outside of Silt at around one in the morning on January 9.

In that event, his son contacted authorities following Jayson allegedly assaulting him and then acquiring his firearm. He is charged with prohibited use of weapons, harassment, and third-degree assault for that incident.

The couple's divorce was finalized in October of last year, and Boebert referenced both violent incidents involving her husband in her initial request for a restraining order.

On Monday, Judge Jonathan Pototsky dropped the lawsuit involving the permanent restraining order.

The Garfield County Judge annulled Jayson Boebert's civil protection order and dismissed Lauren Boebert's motion for a permanent injunction after the congresswoman stated that she had not been threatened or coerced into filing her request. Boebert agreed to the terms of a separate protection order brought against him by Tyler Boebert.

Jayson Boebert will be required to surrender all guns and ammunition, abstain from alcohol, and refrain from threatening or harassing his son under the terms of the order.

Tyler Boebert presently lives with his father, therefore the order does not include a no-contact requirement.

Tyler Boebert, on the other hand, was arrested last month and is facing 22 criminal counts, including five felonies, in connection with a series of suspected thefts in Colorado.
